While Westbank is served primarily by the Kelowna Airport some 30 kms to the north, it is also readily accessible to the Penticton airport which is approximately 55 kms south. Served by Air BC; West Jet; and Horizon Air, with daily direct flights to major cities across the country.

Local Government:
Electoral Area Westside is part of the Regional District of the Central Okanagan, the local governing body.

The residents of the Westside created a government sanctioned Westside Governance Restructure Study committee to to examine in detail three alternative governance structures for the Westside, including:
• continuation as an unincorporated area
• incorporation as a stand-alone municipality
• amalgamation with the City of Kelowna
